Have nothing to journal about?
Hello my loves,
(another brutally honest post xx)
I wanted to talk about that same question everyone asks “what do i journal about?”And if i’m being honest it pisses me off, but i will share what i would answer to such an odd question.
Obviously we have the people who don’t like to write and don’t know how to form a sentence but they wouldn’t be asking that question. So, If someone who knows how to write and generally wants to start journaling but has no idea how, I would tell them that they either have no thoughts or no original thoughts. What i mean by original thoughts is that all the current opinions running through their mind are created by social media or AI, now of course everyone is a collection of those around them and their life but everyone should be able to take pieces from others and create their own views on life. If you are one of the people who can’t do that then my first piece of advice: get the fuck off your phone.
My second piece of advice is something that helped me massively, not only with my journaling but also with my general mental-health. Your life isn’t interesting enough. Look i know it sounds harsh but i’m not the person to soft talk you into improving the things you want to improve! In my experience I was in a cycle, doing the same thing every day and every week. I obviously became very depressed but that was due to me not making my days different. Everyone will think that to make your life different you need to make some big change like move countries, start a business to get rich or other impossible shit, which for a normal person struggling to get through each hour of the day is highly unrealistic.
In reality, all you need to do is take time in the morning to make yourself breakfast, make something you enjoy and spend that extra 5 minutes making it pretty, like avo toast. You’re probably wondering how this relates to journaling, but trust me you need to expand the way you look at your life and yourself. You need to find happiness in small things because that is what your life is made up of, small achievements and moments that normally go over your head, but if you focus on them can actually change your life. Obviously it’s difficult to write about how you made avo toast, but to start yourself off just paint it, draw it, print out a photo and draw an arrow writing what’s on it, and chuck that in the centre of your journal!
Personally if i was to write about my avo toast, i would still paint a picture of it with watercolour and then i would stick it in the top corner and write about how for example, it was hard to take the time to make myself breakfast when i would just eat it, how it wasn’t worth it, but then how when i sat down and enjoyed it i felt like i did owe myself this, i owed myself love and care. I’d write how I want to do it again tomorrow. But the most important thing for you to remember is to never go TOO deep into your thoughts and experiences, i will rarely write about my avo toast in the morming i just enjoy it, but whenever i feel like shit or just have the urge to write, i talk about my avo toast.
So many people will just say it’s avo toast, but to someone who lives in an endless loop like most of us do, that avo toast can be the difference between a new path or a roundabout that never ends and a car you will eventually die in. So if you have nothing to write about, just make an avo toast.
LOVE YOU ALL!!
Remember to share your thoughts on this post today, i love hearing reading them xx

P.S
If you don’t like avo toast and you are complaining about how i want you to make it you clearly don’t understand the point i am trying to get across and should just leave or go read my other posts about metaphors in your life and how powerful they can be to get a grip on your mind.
